Lara McAllen is the singer for the pop/dance music project Angel City. She began dancing at age 5, was a model briefly before becoming a backing dancer for the pop singer Shakira at 19. She then pursued her career as a dance music singer with Angel City when she signed her first recording contract with Ministry of Sound at age 20. Before joining Angel City, Lara found dance floor success with Stuart, “Free (Let It Be)” which was released on the Incentive off-shoot label, Product. It reached No. 41 in the UK chart in 2003. Lara was originally featured as a guest vocalist and later joined the group as the lead singer on all the tracks on the debut album Love Me Right. As lead vocalist, Lara had UK Top 10 records with Angel City before beginning further work both producing vocals and writing. Lara is a partner in a production company and produced with the likes of like Jason Nevins, Rob Davis (Kylie Minogue)and Armin Van Buuren. She has also presented for various Sky Channels on programs like FYC as well as featuring on TV shows such as Never Mind the Buzzcocks, CD:UK, and others.  Voted the “Sexiest Euro-Dance Music Artist in the World” by Internet Users, she has appeared in numerous magazines including Loaded, Maxim, Nuts and Zoo Magazine.  Lara most recently completed her solo single “That’s How to Love” released by Next Plateau in North America.
