As a young boy, Jamesy P would hone his skills, singing at clubs and “in front of anyone willing to listen.” Today this witty musician has been described as having a personality and stage presence comparable to Elephant Man by keeping the audience alive with his antics on stage.
Having performed with many major acts in the dancehall arena such as Shabba Ranks, Beenie Man, Sean Paul, Lady Saw and Vybes Kartel, Jamesy P teamed up with Mark Cyrus, the producer responsible for “Turn Me On” by Kevin Lyttle, to write his infectious new single “Nookie.”
“Nookie,” a #1 hit record in the Caribbean and liked for its provocative lyrics and pulsating beat has been turning heads and ears in every age group from New York to Miami and has launched Jamesy P’s career worldwide. Featurning guest appearances from international star M.I.A. and Jabba of Nina Sky fame, “Nookie” debuted in the U.S. on Next Plateau / Universal Records and is currently in rotation on MTV Tempo.
