Lenny B
Lenny Bertoldo aka Lenny B was born and raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He started studying piano when he was five. He discovered DJing at 14, and by the time he was 16, Lenny B. was spinning professionally with DJs at local clubs throughout Boston. In 1992, he combined his DJ skills with his musical talent and became one of the founding remixers of the X-Mix remix service. Since 1994, Lenny B. has aligned with Warner Brothers, J, Maverick, Arista, Atlantic, Columbia, Jive, Epic and countless other labels spanning across the globe.
Lenny B has produced and remixed for a lineup of A-List stars including Britney Spears, Kevin Lyttle, Kelly Clarkson, Cher, Natasha Bedingfield, LeAnn Rimes, Jessica Simpson, Hillary Duff, Fall Out Boy, MetroStation and more. Lenny’s work with these artists has made him one of the most sought after and versatile pop producers and remixers in the world of dance music.
In 2004 Lenny B released his own album, To the House, a collection of deep, groovy, west coast influenced grooves under the alias BluSol. “Amor,” released on Regress Records under Lenny B.'s other alias Bertoldo, was picked up by Steve Lawler for his Lights Out 2 CD compilation. Other original productions have appeared on compilations from Ministry of Sound, Ultra Records, and Plastik Records. He also produced, remixed, engineered and co-wrote tracks for Madison Park's 2004 release Boutique. Lenny B.'s original productions have appeared on all three of BasicLUX Records' critically acclaimed New Sound Theory CDs.
Lenny B’s current single “Turn Up the Radio” features the unforgettable vocals of Nicole Jenkins and was released in 2009 on Next Plateau. With more of his own records in the works in addition to a DJ tour, more remixes and original productions, Lenny B’s future is exciting and wide open. Stay tuned!
